ONLY TWO CUSHION COVERS IN STORE!

TABITABIYA's handmade designs, in keeping with the Japanese tradition, present original items, all made with either new quality Japanese fabrics or vintage kimono, haori jackets or obi belts that I found during my hunts in second-hand kimono shops. Because yes, in Japan, when kimono, haori, obi, etc. can no longer be worn, that's how they find a new life!

Take 竹 bamboo, Ume 梅 plum blossoms and Tsubaki 椿 camellias, plant and floral motifs revered in Japan and available on a deep and intense blue canvas in a daring and vibrant color palette. I loved how amazing this piece of antique kimono fabric was. For months I searched for a vintage obi belt in the right shade of yellow to pair it with to enhance the beauty of that blue on silk. And I found it!!!!! For this cushion cover that I am particularly proud to present to you, I played on the colors and elegance of the three pieces of fabric that I used, an antique kimono and two vintage obi, one blue and one yellow. And I think I have succeeded in magnifying the splendor of this central piece of antique kimono fabric.
