TABITABIYA's handmade designs, in keeping with the Japanese tradition, present original items, all made with either new quality Japanese fabrics or vintage kimono, haori jackets or obi belts that I found during my hunts in second-hand kimono shops. Because yes, in Japan, when kimono, haori, obi, etc. can no longer be worn, that's how they find a new life!
 
For this cushion cover, I have chosen to combine two fabrics with soft colors. They feature floral and plant motifs which, in the world of Japanese patterns, take us from summer to autumn. In the middle of a forest of pines, whose green caps Kasamatsu 笠松 formed of needles and golden branches can be seen, the wisteria Fuji 藤, clunging to the trunks of these trees, unties its long clusters of flowers. This is an image that has been celebrated by poets since the earliest hours of Japanese poetry. Here and there, maple leaves Kaede 楓, in white and gold, bring this picture from summer to autumn where, in a pink and golden sky dotted with clouds Kumo 雲, the crysanthemum Kiku 菊, will take us at the heart of this season.
