In ancient times, a carp that managed to swim up the course of a waterfall was a symbol of good fortune. Here, the designer used the Yuzen freehand coloring technique (typical of the art of Kimono in Kyoto) and opted for nostalgic colors from the Taisho era. The dynamic water movements are made with gold powder paste.
