Vintage piece ! Second-hand haori, jackets for Japanese kimono.

If you like flowers, the cheerfulness of rural landscapes, this vintage haori is for you! Isn't it fresh, light and full of joy? A palette of powdery pink and khaki very very soft and casually quite elegant to depict a field of Kiku chrysanthemum flowers 菊, Sakura cherry blossoms 桜; showing their bucolic charm under the foliage of Matsu 松 pines, Take 竹 bamboos and kaede 楓 maples . A small hut with a thatched roof for us to take a halt and admire the beauty of this wild nature through wich a little stream meanders with the Ryûsui 流水 flowing water pattern . And when the eye becomes attentive, O, we see a hut right side up and a hut upside down. No no, it's not an anomaly but a little trick that Japanese textile masters have been using for a long time to bring a little fantasy to their work... An ode to the flowers and plants of the 4 seasons which do not ask us to choose between these flowers because we love them all and we want to enjoy each one of them. A perfect kimono jacket to welcome the return of fine weather and rejoice in each of the blooms to come! The haura, the inner lining, of almost transparent white silk, in a geometric figure repeated all over the fabric with Kikkô 亀甲, the scales on the back of the turtle , resumes inside the frames formed by these exagons from the animal world , the great vegetal and floral figures of the world of Japanese patterns Matsu 松, the pine tree, Sasa 笹, the bamboo leaves, Kiku 菊 the chrysanthemum flower and Kiri 桐, the pawlonia flower , another revered flower deeply rooted in the heart of Japanese culture. In a discreet and very charming manner, with this jacket, we go deep into the heart of the Japanese tradition. This jacket is in excellent condition and you can wear it with no problem!

The haori, a jacket worn over a Japanese kimono, is perhaps THE Japanese garment that TABITABIYA fell in love with the most! Cut in the same way as a kimono, the haori also shares its sumptuous fabrics and patterns. But you don't need an obi to keep it closed. It is generally worn open or tied at the front with braided cords made in the same materials as the obijime that is attached to the obi. They are also very decorative. Its easy-to-wear length, its lightness, its more restrained or downright daring patterns make this authentic kimono jacket a super playful and stylish garment that you never get tired of! There is no limit to how you can wear it because the haori goes absolutely perfectly and creatively with all clothes. For your moments of relaxation on the sofa, your reading times, to enjoy a cup of tea, to make you comfortable at home after your days of work, to bring an edgy touch to your jeans outfits, or a more chic note to your skirt or work outfits, for going out in the evening, for invitations to a wedding or a slightly chic aperitif party… The haori is the fashionable answer for all women as the ways you can wear it are endless!!! The haori is THE ideal piece to add to your wardrobe and your life, this so unique touch of Japanese elegance! A simple and accessible way for all to enjoy the art of Japanese kimono.

In Tabitabiya's flea market, I only feature second-hand Japanese haori that melt my heart. They are not perfect but in good, or even very good condition. The photos will show you the small defects that some may have.
